Heritage Park Walk celebrates 5 years!!
The 2007 Walk took place from the 31st of May, and ended on the 5th June 2007 - Walking 140 kilometres from Madikwe Game Reserve to Pilanesberg National Park over 5 days.
Lauched in 2003 it has become the perfect way of familiarising People with the wild Environment and People with Parks!
In effect the Heritage Park Walk is for celebrating the Environment Week, culminating in the World Environment Day (5th June).
The Heritage Park Walk has over the years gained popularity among its patrons, project partners and sponsors alike.
It is a pleasant coincidence that 5th Anninversay of the Heritage Park Walk comes as a reflection of the very first walk. It began in Madikwe and ended in Pilanesberg!

WALK ITINERARY
Day 0 – 31st May:
Walkers meet at Bakgatla gate in Pilanesberg at 14H00.
Walkers will then be transported to the overnight camp in Vleisfontein in Madikwe Game Reserve.
Day 1 – 1st June:
Vleisfontein in Madikwe Game Reserve to Mokwepa pass camp outside Molatedi village.
Day 2 – 2nd June:
Mokwepa pass camp outside Molatedi village to Greater Lebatlane area.
Day 3 – 3rd June:
Greater Lebatlane area to Boynton Platinum exploration area
Day 4 – 4th June:
Boynton Platinum exploration area to Moloto picnic site in Pilanesberg National Park.
Day 5 – 5th June:
Moloto picnic site in Pilanesberg National Park to the Elephant Boma inside the Pilanesberg National Park.
