State-owned land
Incorporation procedure
- State land will be used for land redistribution purposes.
- New landowners will be encouraged to incorporate their land.
Landowner’s rights
- As for private land, owners retain full title to the property.
- Owners may develop nature-based tourism operations compliant with
the Incorporation Agreement and the constitution of the Landowners Association.
- Game will be introduced in sufficient numbers to sustain game-viewing
on a basis as agreed between the North West Parks and Tourism Board,
the Landowners Association and the landowner.
- Income from game will be determined by a negotiated formula that will
consider the proportionate contribution towards game introductions,
property size and management inputs.
Landowner’s obligations
- Owners must satisfy the NWPTB regarding game and ecosystem management.
