" Sitting here by the fire, thinking about the maps of the Heritage Park
that they have shown the people, thoughts of far places come into one's
head. That is what maps do to people. They make people curious and then
they want to go and see the places that are on the map.
So is it also with the people of the land. The people of the Trust Lands
now want to go and see the other places. They wonder what is there to
see, there by the State Owned Land. The people that are sitting around
the fires at the State Owned Land want to go and see and hear what happens
at the Private Land. And so on.
It is good that it is so. This thing about curiosity, because it is
curiosity that brings the tourists and their money to our lands. It is
curiosity that will bring them here the first time, but it is enjoyment
that will bring them back time and time again.
To make these tourists come back and bring more money, we must first
make them curious, then we must make them happy".
"The young people who are going to be the hosts to these tourists must
never forget this: First make them curious and when curiosity brings them
here, it is your job to make them like the place and what you can show them
to do here, so that they will come back again and again and bring money
every time. And if you make your visitors happy, their happiness will become
your happiness.
So it will be that, when they come, you must bring them
to the fire and tell them your very best stories to make their thoughts
go far with your words to places where only thoughts can travel..."
